Now, the magic happens! We bring the storyboard to life with sketch illustrations and an animatic - this is a rough version of the animation. This is where your ideas begin transform into captivating visuals. We make any major changes to the story and flow at this point

We’re on the home straight, this is where you get to see the the full finished animation for the first time.

How long is a piece of string? It really does depend but as a rule of thumb I usually tell my clients that a two minute animation with 6-8 scenes will usually take around 6-8 weeks. That’s if everyone does their bit. I will send out a schedule when we star the project so that everyone knows when feedback cycles are and we can all stick to the schedule.

1. Whiteboard Style Animation: These are perfect for educational content and step-by-step explanations. The hand-drawn visuals keep viewers engaged and make complex topics easy to follow. We don’t tend to use the hand in the animation anymore as this is quite dated..
2. 2D Animation: Classic and versatile, 2D animations use flat, two-dimensional illustrations to tell a story. They are great for brand storytelling and can be customized to match your brand's aesthetic.
3. Motion Graphics: These animations use graphic design elements and text to create visually stunning videos. Motion graphics are ideal for data visualization and highlighting key points in a visually appealing way.
My animations lean more towards the first two types with a smattering of the third.

Aaahhh the 6 million dollar question (but they don’t cost that much). This will depend on animation length, type of graphics used and complexity of the animation. Every animation is tailored specifically to each project. If you consult Saint Google you will find a wild array of prices for a two minute animation and they are probably all valid because you will never be comparing apples with apples. For example some will use very generic imagery or stock graphics which will keep the cost down - whereas I will produce bespoke illustrations for every single project - so you are always getting something completely unique. I’d say I sit somewhere in the middle on pricing and I’m happy to talk whatever your budget is, because there is always something we can do. It may not be a full blown video but I could produce some lovely animated GIFs to bring a story to life.
