Twelve years of drawing and animating for medical teams, advisory boards and patient campaigns, across cardiology, paediatrics, nephrology, diabetes and more. Every condition has a clinical story and a human one, and my work covers both. Much of the work I do for the sector is confidential so this is just a small selection. Nearly everything I have done in pharma is in Spanish, but as a native English speaker I think I’ve got it covered!

In this half day event I captured three discussions around the subjects of Mental Health, Women’s Health (with a focus on the menopause) and Health in old age. The discussions/presentations were between GPs and specialists in each field. I also designed the commemorative card that was given to each of the 300+ attendees who were GPs from across the whole of Spain.
My captures were beamed live onto two giant screens at different points during the course of the event and the final graphics were shared with attendees and were also made available in an app specially designed for the event.

Spanish Association of Paediatrics
This was a live digital capture of a webinar in the very early days of the pandemic, explaining the illness (what was known at the time) and discussing the effects of Covid-19 on pregnant women and children giving guidelines on breastfeeding, hygiene and general measures to be taken in the event of possible infection, and also how to avoid infection.

This was another pandemic time Virtual Graphic Recording in a collaboration with the MK Media/LabRats Agency in Madrid.
It covered the different aspects of how Psoriasis can impact day to day life in patients.

Illustrated Visual Summaries
Spanish Society of Cardiologists
A series of Illustrative summaries to accompany short video classes presented by renowned Spanish cardiologists, nephrologists and other clinical specialists. The video classes covered numerous aspects of cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes and chronic renal failure. In total I produced over 20 video class visual summaries.

Creation of a comic story to explain childhood meningitis in a more ‘patient/family friendly’ way.. this was part of a larger campaign to raise awareness about the disease. The project was done in collaboration with Planner Media agency.

Explainer Animations about Chronic Renal Disease
Valencian Society of Nephrologists
For a project called ‘I’ve got Chronic renal Disease, now what? A series of five explainers around the treatments available and the lifestyle recommendations for patients suffering with the disease. This was a year long project with close collaboration with some of the leading nephrologists across Spain headed up by Dr. José Luis Gorriz and Dr. Marco Montoli of the Hospital Clínico Universitario in Valencia and with sponsorship from Fresenius.
Since launch in 2022 the videos have had well over 500k views between them on the society’s YouTube channel with the Haemodialysis video alone receiving more than 450k views! Click on any of the images to see each animation.
